Enjoy free onboard wifi on some US flights

Surf the web at no cost while flying aboard some US airlines this holiday season.

Google announced that, for the second year in a row, they will make free Internet access available via wifi on some US flights from November 20, 2010 through January 2, 2011. The service will be available on AirTran, Delta and Virgin America flights and will be provided by gogo’s inflight wifi systems.

At least one wag suggested that Google should drop the Santa Claus role and just pay its fair share of US taxes.
